He will share the findings of our publicly funded study on the degradation of hairpin winding insulation. Hairpins, commonly used in inverter-fed motors in electric vehicles, were tested under various conditions over three years. Through this extensive testing and analysis, we have successfully assessed their reliability within a lifetime model.
This research has allowed us to evaluate and enhance an innovative measurement method for electric motors equipped with high-performance inverters. Moreover, the models we developed now enable automotive suppliers and manufacturers to accurately assess the service life of electric motors under specific load conditions.
