The aim of the research project is to develop a structure-based method for locating and evaluating macro lead on sealing counter faces. The basis for this are optically measured 3D topographies. A new method is designed to increase the accuracy and speed of measurement and analysis compared to two-dimensional tactile measurements, which are currently the state of the art in macro lead analysis.
Within this project, algorithms for the extraction of surface structures relevant for evaluation are developed and parameters for the three-dimensional description of macro lead are defined. Furthermore, the measurement conditions such as the necessary measurement field size, resolution, number and positions of the measurement fields are systematically researched.
